Flowers from a friend

A few days ago a friend returned from a lengthy absence, came over for dinner and brought me the most beautiful tulips; this morning it looked like their pick was over and their decline was progressing at a rather accelerating speed. I had to somehow record their incredible beauty, as a reminder of my dearest Weihong's visit and symbol of her amazing precious presence in my life.

  1. Greetings dear Anna,

The very first image of the tulip is stunning. Its subtleness and minimalistic makes it striking. The lighting on the last image is also perfect.

NOt only is a flower beautiful when it is fresh, but I have aways found that as it ages and colours and tones shift, there is another beauty that all to often is dismissed.

    Thank you for sharing.

    Warmest regards,
    Egmont

  3. Truly truly amazing photos Anna - they give such a sense of beauty fading. I think I like the last one best.
