the statues...

...This land is much loved with patience and dignity. Every night, out of the dry well,
the statues emerge cautiously and climb the trees.
Certain poems inspire me to no end! They offer direct visual narrative that makes it hard not to respond...
Ritsos' verses evoke scenes that belong to situations undeniably familiar; situations -I believe- I have witnessed. Perhaps these "sensations" come from memories of times I've lived in my childhood or in my dreams.
