ginger in bloom, etc.

Back from the big city to the wonders and  colors of my garden: the ginger in bloom,  Peter (the rabbit) on the lawn visiting with the cardinals and Patrikios (the toad) in his favorite place: in the center of a bromeliad plant waiting for me...
Nice to be back home!

on exhibit!

The photo was taken last night at the opening of the juried show; I am standing next to the case where my artwork is displayed; it is one of my Artists Books titled "the language they gave me". I guess it's pretty evident how pleased I am, no need to elaborate!
Well, this has been a busy week, long hours working on my computer, my eyes strained to extreme. I wish me and everyone a good and restful weekend!

my Greek alphabet

Next month several of my art books are going to be on display at a Handmade Artists' Books exhibit here in Houston. "My alphabet" is one of my least frivolous pieces, stating in a quasi scholarly fashion the forms of the Greek alphabet and their use in words that have special meaning to me. For the formation  of the characters I used Adobe Illustrator; the book has been printed on Rives BFK with archival pigmented inks.

garden finds

That's what I saw earlier when I checked the spring progress in my garden. And while I am writing this post - just looked beyond the monitor, outside my window- a squirrel decided to have his early evening meal. I had to include him in this post.
