These are samples from a new series of paste papers I designed and made a few days ago; I am using them to bind the covers of japanese stab bound style albums I am creating like the one on the above photograph. The paste I made for this batch was a mixture of flour, corn starch and alum. I used acrylic colors and once the papers were dried as a final step I polished them with bees wax! They really look beautiful!!!
I always find the best relaxation when I do something with my hands; more than reading or listening to music, much more than watching TV. Sitting in my favorite chair and doing needlework of all kinds gives me the best rest, the most simple and pleasant way to reflect.
Here are the latest products from some fleeting, resting moments.
Hope you are also finding some time for a favorite project, time to relax or to just unwind!
